And The Winner IS:
Tim Laroche
Congratulations to Tim Laroche for winning the entire contest including the Furch Guitar and other guitar goodies
Stay tuned for a different contest to be announced soon
Tone Central Station and Furch Guitars, with assistance from Tennessee Songwriters Association International are PROUD to Present :
ONE GUITAR, ONE VOICE.
This is a Singer/Songwriter contest aimed at showcasing pure talent while keeping it as simple as possible. Our winner will earn the very guitar that each song is performed with, a STUNNING Furch Blue Dc-EM Performance. THAT'S RIGHT!
Every performer will play the very guitar that is the GRAND PRIZE!!!! This is a BEAUTIFUL instrument and valued at almost $2000!!!!!!
We are keeping it simple. Every contestant will perform an original song, written by them.
They will all use the same guitar, strap, cable and mic. No reverb and a flat EQ. There will be assistance with the guitar coming on and going off and the mic will be cleaned between each performance. Each contestant will perform 1 song that is up to 5 minutes in length and no more than 2 times for the entire contest!
Simple, right?
Night 1 was amazing, There were 10 Contestants and 3 of them moved on to the final round in October.
Congratulations to Round 1 finalists Tim Laroche, (Friend of TSAI) Tammy Sue & Carson Deans for moving onto the finals
Congratulations to Round 2 finalists Ainsley, Cheryl Maria, Janna Laroche
Congratulations to Round 3 finalists Daniel Sinclair, Hanna, John Karras.
The highest placing 4th spot winner is Jeff Garrett. Jeff also earns a spot in the Finals
Congrats to the winners of all 3 rounds that are going to the finals.
The Golden Ticket Winners are
Cam Laroche & Billy Masters
Now that the finals lineup is set come out and voyte for your favorites
Months 1-3 are Round 1. We will keep it limited to 30 performers total (10 per month). The top 3 each month will advance to the finals in October. The highest scoring performer from months 1-3 will earn the 10th spot in the finals! So, you could come in 4th in months 1-3 and STILL MAKE IT IN! Also, as a bonus, Jamie and Todd each have a "Golden Ticket" spot for a performer who fails to qualify, that we feel should get a 2nd chance in the final round. This means that up to 12 will make the finals.
So,
BRING YOUR A+++ GAME!!!!
And course, we need you, The Spectators!
You will be a HUGE part of how this contest plays out (pun intended)! We will have 3 judges per night (different judges each month). They will be judging on 10 categories and will account for 60% of your score. The other 40% comes from the audience!

The Headlines!

It's Been 5+ Years in the Making But...
TSAI's
Real Country Music on Radio
Campaign is Seeing the Light of Day!
The Grammy's Have Announced They Are Splitting the Country Music Awards into Traditional Country & Contemporary Country
We Know the Best Way to Do That IS To Split the Billboard Charts
Best Traditional Country Album for albums vocal or instrumental:
"Traditional country includes country recordings that adhere to the more traditional sound structures of the country genre, including rhythm and singing style, lyrical content, as well as traditional country instrumentation such as acoustic guitar, steel guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, piano, electric guitar, and live drums," the Academy states.
The category includes "sub-genres such as Western, Western Swing, and Outlaw country
Best Contemporary Country Album for albums vocal or instrumental:
"The Recording Academy and our voters have had many lengthy debates about how production choices impact musical styles," Mason Jr. said. "However, we want to find as many ways as possible to accurately and honestly honor amazing art. If that requires us to make more space, then we do so. Primarily because we recognize that we do not always have the lines that people use to separate genres perfectly defined, we continually need to refine those standards by listening to the individuals who work within those musical communities to serve them best."
It's not quite the Billboard Charts but It's a Start
And it Started Here At TSAI
Former Executive Director Paul Castoe just did an interview on "In Your Corner" referencing this very topic. Check it out!
